He did see the resemblance between her and his girlfriend, but he didn't fully know if they were related. After all EJ and Flare were related and they looked nothing alike! He did notice that she was a bit spooked by him, but he wasn't offended. He had that happen to him a lot so he was used to it.

She wasn't the best influence and she wasn't the most sane person to be around. However, she wouldn't let anything bad happen to her sister on her watch. "Oh..." Laura blinked, imagining the woman erasing her memories like that. She hugged Roy a little tighter, asking, "Okay, be honest... Who's idea was it to erase my memories without asking me first?" It was important to her. If it had been Roy's idea, she just... she'd be upset.

"I'm Paulette... Celeste and Laura's mother," the cat replied, surprised he hadn't picked up on that earlier. She brushed her curly hair back from her face with one hand, and the resemblance seemed stronger when he could compare Paulette's tall, curvy form and blue eyes to Celeste's, who looked almost just like a younger version of her mother, except with straighter hair and creamy tones in her fur.

Winnie rubbed her cheek against Flare, feeling a little bit better. "I love you, Flare... You and me and EJ and Su are all gonna be a family. And Su's babies. And the new brother with the stripes. He's kinda grumpy, but he's okay I guess..." She didn't include Matthew in her little family census, mainly because she didn't know him or the fact that he was related to Flare and the other Wycliffs.

"I kind of guessed that, but sometimes you never know for sure." Amigo said. He felt a bit nervous, he felt like he was making a complete fool of himself in front of his girlfriend's mother no doubt. He wish his family was here so that he wouldn't be as nervous, but then again his family might've spooked her out even more.

"I love you too Winnie." Flare said. She didn't include Matthew as apart of her family either, she didn't care if he was technically related to her. It didn't feel right to be apart of him. She wouldn't say anything about Matthew to Winnie, she shouldn't know him at least not when he was sick. She tried to push away her problems to try and feel a bit happy that everything would be ok.
