(I kinda want to possibly do some redesigns as well... Mostly because I can't decide on Roy's hair and I can barely draw it anymore. ouo")

(I don't think Laura looks enough like a real pine marten, and I want to make her resemble Paulette a little, too. XD It's difficult when you design the kids before the parents. With Roy and Rachel, their parents look similar enough to be siblings, but it's different with the Derings.

I might also give Jonathan "Jack" Dering a bit more of a presence... he's dead, but I'd like to give the man a design and maybe have a drawing of the family before all hell broke loose. He is recently deceased, having died when the Sect destroyed Kolerin, so his girls could use some time to legitimately grieve. Perhaps Evenstell will erect a memorial for those who died in Kolerin, since most of them don't have graves and their families need somewhere to go to honor them...)

Also, I would imagine they would make a memorial one, for the Devas, and two, to remind the world about what happened. I know that feel though; I actually somewhat designed Aaron's father, Luke, and I might draw him soon...)

Part of me wants to have Jack be alive and find his family. XD He could survive being shot, not that Paulette would know... *pouty face* Laura's daddy! ROY. LAURA'S FATHER. SHOULD HE LIVE OR NOT?! *flails*)

(I dunno. I kinda thought it fit... Richard's brother also has a variant of Luke, so I'm gonna have to change that. o7o"

BECAUSE. I left the world with the assumption that he was dead, but by some miracle he could be alive after getting shot. I'm not decided yet... It'd be an interesting surprise to have him return.)

(I've just been wondering what kind of person Jack is/was, and how everyone would respond if he appeared again. While Celeste is like Paulette, Laura is like Jack. It'd be cool... and I've been liking the idea of having adult characters, and family for my characters instead of having people just come out of nowhere with no family. XD)

(Yeah, I get what you're saying. I think Jack would be one of those people who has a lot of love to give, and loves Paulette, Laura, and Celeste a lot. Especially because Laura does show her affections for Roy a lot.)

(Yes... I picture a serious, "strong" personality, but he's very loving and is always happy to have one of his girls hanging on him. He's the kind of dad who never wished he had a son, because he's just fine with having a pair of daughters to protect.)

(And love and completely dote over. Sounds about right. Honestly, that's probably what kept him going.

(It's at times like this when I wish I was home. I'd rather be drawing Laura than at my cousin's birthday dinner thing... Especially since I don't really like the food so I'm not eating anything. I've been in pout mode since we got here. XP)

I'm gonna work on some school stuff... I just came back from my own birthday lunch/dinner myself. ouo" What are you going to change about her anyway?)

(Probably her markings, and adjust her colors a little. Pine martens are brown with the cream color on their chests, and sometimes white on their faces. They don't usually have enough cream to have color points.)

(And I want to make her look like Paulette, so I might have her be an outright hybrid. Maybe give her white kitty markings of some kind.)

(I was just thinking that... XP Sounds good.)

(Because cats are adorable and fluffy. XD But Laura won't be a pure cat, just half a cat. Celeste may get a redesign to match.)

(I would assume Celeste gets some brown in her design. Maybe in her hair?)
