Inwardly having a nervous breakdown, Aaron stood up. He blushed a little, his usual demeanour slipping, which was probably a good thing. He really didn't know what to say, and really didn't look all that good-- Gabriel looked a lot worse than he did, though. "I-It'sh nice to finally meet you." Aurora.... This entire thing with me meeting her father really isn't going how I pictured... Fuck.. His lisp just made him feel even more unlike himself, and it was rather obvious.

Gabriel couldn't tell much just by Aaron's looks, but he did get a few things; he was in decent shape and injured, implying he was a rebel soldier of sorts. The lisp caught him off guard, but then he just smiled faintly-- it was so like his daughter to not care if someone had a speech impediment. He couldn't bring himself to let go of Nani, but he did reach one bony hand out to Aaron. "You... You took care of her good? Kep' her safe for me?" It was nice to know that Nani hadn't been on her own this whole time... She had apparently met someone she could get close to and rely on.

Aaron nodded a little, and tried to ignore the fact that he was feeling all nervous and jittery. Calm down.... He just met you.... "Yesh, I have...And, she did shave my life once..." Well, more than once, actually.... The outbreak at the old camp, and the attack aimed at him by those thugs because he was a former Sect soldier. He hadn't forgotten them.

Still trying to get used to the way this boy spoke, Gabe took a moment before fulling understanding what he said. The older ocelot nodded, now knowing how the two probably got close. Saving each other's lives was sort of a big deal. When Aaron mentioned her saving his life, Nani looked worriedly up at her father, "Th-there are people here who hate anyone who worked for the Sect, even against their will... Please be careful. This is a safe place but even it isn't perfect." An old man like Gabe could be seriously hurt or even killed by thugs.

"I'll be alright..." Gabe assured her, still just amazed that he was actually there with her. He thought he would die as a Sect peon, passing on in his sleep in the cold room he had to sleep in.

Nani wrapped her arms around the skinny man's middle, squeezing him in another hug. She started to babble happily, "We'll give you a full check-up at the infirmary, and we can set you up in one of the bedrooms here at the apartment. You can live here with us, at least until you're in better shape... You look so ill... You don't mind if he stays with us, do you, Aaron?" They had just met, and the panther seemed distinctly more nervous than she had ever seen him. He wasn't afraid of a sixty-year-old man, was he?

(I feel like he probably would put rubber or something. I would laugh if he had a silicon ring or something. Just because. XD

Okay, maybe it's only been a few months, but they could act as promise rings! I really wanna do that... And it's not too extravagant. "No, I don't mind." Aaron admitted, even though he did feel nervous. It wouldn't be fair to Nani, and the panther could live with it-- he also wanted to get to know Nani's father. He seemed like a nice man, especially since he had given up a lot to raise Nani when she got sick growing up. He rubbed at the back of his neck, still trying to get his cool back, "I mean, why would I?"

Then she got back to business, her emotional moment having passed for the most part. She led Gabe over to the couch and had him sit down, since she would need to give him a look-over and treat him for any injuries or sickness he might have been suffering from. She was a bit flustered, now having two men to take care of, and knelt on the floor to pick up everything that had spilled out of the first aid kit.

The panther knelt down and helped Nani clean up the scattered contents of the first-aid kit, even though it caused him to make a face at the soreness.

Nani got worried when Aaron tried to help, looking up at him and having another mini freakout. "Y-you should sit down, too, Aaron! Your wounds are healing well, but that's all the more reason to make sure they don't reopen!" She was certainly still flustered after her father's miraculous return.

Nani's ears tilted back, and she debated arguing with him, but then let it go. "Fine..." She started putting everything back into the kit. "But then you are going to sit down and rest, and I'm going to make sure you both eat a good dinner and get plenty of sleep tonight."

Gabe was so tired he just slumped against the back of the couch, looking half-asleep even though he just sat down. He was certainly in need some some loving care, after being at the Sect's mercy for so long.
