Celeste lay there miserably, not really responding. She honestly didn't know what she wanted... The marten sat up and reached out to get a tissue off the coffee table, blowing her nose.

As she did so, Scotty began to emerge from the room. He had let go of Stone and decided to be where Celeste could easily reach him, just in case.... In Laura's absence, he would take over the overprotective role. "I'll think of something, Benjy... Thank you." He could guarantee he would be all cuddly and clingy tonight, but for now, Scotty was stoic enough to march into the kitchen and start trying to find something simple for dinner.

Chase leaned his cheek on Roy's head. "Don't mention it... you know I'm here for you, anytime you need me." He wrapped one arm around Rachel now as well, holding her snug against his side while EJ continued sleeping like a rock next to them.
