TKF: EVENSTELL

(Seriously though I haven't the foggiest idea of what I want to do now that we're actually in Evenstell. All my ideas kinda flew out the window when we threw out Underground...)

(Well, we could start brainstorming... Jonah and Roxy could start their restaurant shit, then Jonah acts stupid and then Ot4. ouo")

(We don't need giant plot ideas at the moment. Sometimes we need to just enjoy "small talk" RPing. It's a big part about writing books and stories, and I really do enjoy it.

Of course, Evenstell might be taking care of them, but it isn't without it's struggles... With the world in turmoil, assassins, enemy nations, and radical parties are popping up. I have an evil plan in which Shiloh and Shay both get horribly maimed, but held off on doing so since we have some small things going on at the moment and I have a lot on my plate.

Shiloh: ... Frick.

Shay: *just shrugs one shoulder*

So while everyone is building a new life for themselves, they've also gotta be careful. Nowhere is completely safe.

Also, I have some things I'd like to see... I still have an Evey/Zero thing, and we haven't RPed them in a while... And dammit, Lance and Viola need to work on their romance! *flails* They're a total power couple in the making! Sassy, beautiful kitsune vixen and the company owner who is having to rebuild from the ground up, but of course needs some kind of plan... what's the next thing he's going to develop? Something with relevance to all that has happened thus far, his demons haunting him... Jonah, suddenly being the father of Winnie, and being reminded of his family that died at the start of this all. (Its in his backstory that he had been married.) Dealing with those demons, Roxy trying to talk to him since it's on his mind... he's not sure what to do, with a kid who is his but he never really met, and a new girlfriend...)

(My inner novelist is screaming bloody murder. XD It wants to release all of these scenes in my head! *flails*)

(Wait, since when was Jonah married before????? And I wasn't trying to get into big plot ideas? I was just throwing some stuff out there to develop further...)

(I wasn't talking to you about big ideas, Blueh, but to Pluto on that one. XD But yeah, I remember it being mentioned that he had a wife (and kids, I think) before it all went to hell. Jonah and Greyson met when we first introduced them as characters, and he said he had a restaurant and a family, but they were dead. Grey only had Bebe, who was still a Chao back then. XD)

Jonah being married might have been something I intended to go into way back when I first made him but I'm probably going to retcon that for consistency sake.)

(The idea was that he was a widower... and would have been for two years. So he could be moving on with Roxy, but struggle a little, too. *shrug* It'd make for good feels and character/relationship development.)

(I don't remember that at all... I thought he meant that his parents/siblings were gone...)

I agree but it's now a matter of how to start this. Like my brain has just been on strike against Kolerin and posting actually RP stuff. I need inspiration again. And frankly it's just not coming to me.)

(I remember trivia like that... I'm the novelist. I always knew that if Jonah made it into Pantheon, he would have the story of having been married, running a restaurant with his wife, only for it all to be taken away. Not sure if he'll ever make it in, but that would be why he isn't still a chef somewhere and is instead involved in the plot.)

(Well, obviously that's not the case anymore???? I remember Jonah meeting Greyson, but I didn't get that vibe from him...)

Digging back on that. Jonah's original restaurant was a family owned place. He was the youngest of I think 3 siblings along side both his parents. Of course when the bombs hit he was the only survivor. At least I believe that was the intention. If he said something like that to Greyson it was a sorta spur of the moment kinda deal and now it's becoming a bit of a hole in his character.)

(Relax, I'm just describing something I remembered... I didn't know you all forgot. No need to freak out at me... jeez... All the sudden I'm under attack because I remembered a bit of trivia that had been apparently discarded.)

Anyhow Imma try and get something posted here before I go to bed I just need some time to think.

We're not attacking you. It's more of something that happened forever ago and it's hard for us to remember what happened when it did. )

(Yeah... I thought I was missing out on this entire thing with Jonah...)

(Whatever... I guess nothing else I suggested had any merit to it, if the only response I got was an argument about a bit of trivia nobody else remembered but I thought was still relevant.)

I liked the other ideas; we can expand upon them and help build upon the beginning to Evenstell. We can continue doing what we're RPing now, and start to weave those things into the storyline.)

(I just feel like nobody's been talking to me like they used to... I know you and I are working on it, Pluto, and I'm not upset with you right now, but I still feel alienated from the group...

I still have Evey and Zee I could post for in addition to what I have going right now.)

(For the Zero and Evey thing, go ahead I'll have to reply in the morning. I'm typing up a post for Umbra of all characters right now as kind of a vent post as well as something to kinda get out while the idea is still in my head.)

It wasn't long before Umbra was processed in...and subsequently taken to straight to a prison. The wolf sat by and waited. And he waited. And he continued waiting before they finally processed him through. Being what he was, he was kept separate from the general population...most of the time. There were times when he was let out to do things he wished to do within the rules of the prison. Normally he spent a lot of time in the library reading books. Hell he even ditched his contacts in favor of an actual pair of reading glasses, which he had made at the prison optometrist. Currently he was reading up on Stellan customs and laws. For once in his life he was glad to not be in the outside world. From what he was reading up on, he got the feeling that sexism was a thing except it was exactly opposite here as it was from the rest of the world. Though to be fair the wolf and the rest of the Devas had only been here for about a week or so, so it was very possible that he was reading too much into things and making bad assumptions about a place he knew very little about. Truth be told, however, he did see males being discriminated against here by some of the female prison guards. What could they do about it though? These people were the scum of society and he was probably the worst of them all. He was serial killer with a spree that held the record among the rest of the population. He wouldn't be discriminated against, just his stare was enough to put the fear of the gods into the general population as well as their guards. His guards? They were another case entirely. There was no intimidating them. He could see it in their eyes. These men and women had seen some bad things. He knew what that was like, especially having survived a nuclear fallout. Whatever they'd see, he would have bet his life it was nothing compared to the shit he'd seen.

"Umbra." one of his guards, a young female lynx, called out, "Library time's up."

Umbra sighed, marked his page, set the book back on its respective shelf and shoved his hands into his blaze orange jump suit's pockets, "Damn...I was just getting to the good part too."

The lynx set on a set of cuffs and began escorting him back to solitary. Along the way the wolf always tried to strike up conversation. Usually it failed. However...

"You wanna know what I was reading about?"

The Lynx huffed an annoyed sigh, "You ask me that every time I'm on shift, Umbra, do I sound like I give a damn?"

Umbra sighed, "Well I'm going to tell you anyways. I was reading about some of the culture of this place. Apparently there's a lot of sexism towards men in this country's history?"

"What about it?"

He shrugged his shoulders, "Just wondering if it's ever come up...say here in this little prison of ours?"

She nodded, "Once or twice it had come up. It's usually nothing though."

"Just inmate to inmate or are the guards sometimes involved?"

"I'm not sexist!"

"I never said you were. You jumped to that conclusion all on your own. I simply asked if it sometimes involved guards."

She hesitated but never answered him as they arrived at his cell.

"Alright to your cell, Umbra."

He stepped inside and the door shut behind him.

"You never answered my question, ma'am."

"Can it, worthless male!"

Umbra shrugged, "Welp, there's your answer, Umbra...one of your guards is sexist as hell..."-he sighed, "Fantastic..."
